Pegboard mug holder

In my office, I like to have a cup of pens and pencils sitting around at all times. All the pens go in one bucket and any more organization is beyond me. A long time ago I decided I wanted to put my mug of pens somewhere off the desk, like on a pegboard on the wall. There are some pegboard baskets that you can keep pens in, but the mug has the benefit of being portable. If we sit down to play a TTRPG, I just go grab the mug and everyone can select a pen or pencil. So, to get the best of both worlds, I designed a pegboard mug holder that shows off the art on the mug while it holds the pens. Then, this week, I wanted to give one as a gift so I redesigned it to be stronger and easier to print. The new version prints without supports and is significantly stronger than my first design.

One more advantage to splitting the design into multiple pieces is that the smaller pieces print faster. So when the pegs were a bit too loose to hold it tightly against the pegboard, I was able to just modify the part that the pegs are on instead of the whole thing, which meant I was able to print the big part overnight and then re-print the smaller parts in time to give it as a gift.

You can find the STL files for this pegboard mug holder on Thangs. If you want to fork my design, you can find it on Onshape.
